Who We Are
Paul Smaby, M.A., is the founder of Integral Advisors, a company dedicated to helping clients succeed by raising awareness of the critical issues that impact performance and well-being at the individual, team and organizational level.
Paul founded Integral Advisors on the principle that more than ever before, business leaders need a better map in navigating and adapting to the growing complexities of the 21st century. Paul has developed such an “Integral” map based upon his extensive background which includes over 25 years of domestic and international business experience, including senior roles at two Fortune 50 companies. Paul has also been at the helm of several entrepreneurial ventures and is comfortable working in organizations of all sizes.
Paul is joined by his wife Elizabeth Smaby, M.A., LPCC,. Elizabeth brings a deep understanding of human and organizational psychology based upon her tenure as a coordinator of research at a Big 10 university. Her extensive experience with assessment administration and interpretation provides Elizabeth with a background in using evidence-based practices to create change. Elizabeth’s focus on results and her disciplined approach to problem solving helps clients identify and address the roadblocks standing in the way of breakthrough performance and outstanding value.
Using a powerful combination of cutting-edge diagnostic tools and a vast and deep knowledge of sales, marketing, operations, and finance, as well as human and organizational psychology, Paul and Elizabeth help clients overcome unproductive dynamics at the individual, team and systems levels.

Paul is a graduate of the University of Minnesota in economics and holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of St. Thomas.
Elizabeth is a graduate of Hamline University in political science and holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of St. Thomas.
